A personal learning network (PLN) is a group of people with a common focus, goal, or passion who share resources, successes, failures, questions, etc. While a PLN may take place in person, often today they exist exclusively in cyberspace, through social networks, blogs, wikis, microblogs, etc. A PLN can enable a teacher to take control of his/her own learning, creating an knowledge base consisting of the shared knowledge and experiences of its members.
